Part-Time Legal Assistant

Department: Compliance
Location: Englewood, CO

iLending is hiring an experienced Legal Assistant. We are looking for part-time, career-oriented individuals who want to join a fun and energetic company.

LOCATION: The position is on-site in the Englewood Office. Hybrid is an option after training period.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Legal Assistant plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive legal and administrative support to the Legal department. Responsibilities extend to overseeing the day-to-day operations of the legal department, involving tasks such as scanning in documents and filing in the appropriate place, drafting correspondence, and collaborating with others on projects. The role involves meticulous attention to detail, organizational skills, and a thorough understanding of the legal landscape to contribute to the smooth functioning of the company's legal and compliance efforts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Maintain organized legal files, documents, and databases, ensuring easy retrieval and accessibility for the legal team.
  • Provide administrative support to the legal department, including calendar management, meeting coordination, filing, mailing, and document preparation.
  • Collaborate with the legal team to ensure adherence to corporate compliance standards and policies.
  • Assist the legal team in completing due diligence requests from partners.
  • Assist in the development, review, and maintenance of compliance manuals and internal policies.
  • Support compliance efforts by conducting regular audits and assessments along with the legal team.
  • Collaborate with the legal team to track contract deadlines and renewals, providing timely reminders as needed, and assist in the organization of contracts.
  • Utilize the contract management system to pull reports as requested.
  • Assist in the coordination of submitting license renewal applications.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, reliability, and ability to learn new technology.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work on matters simultaneously in an organized manner and under minimal supervision.

EDUCATION and/or WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma required. Associates degree preferred.
  • Previous office or law firm experience required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Computer proficiency in Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Hiring Salary Range:

  • $20.00 - $22.00/hr
  • Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity
  • Part-time employment is not eligible for benefits.

  • The Team Member must be able to occasionally lift and or move up to 20 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
